Delegating projects and tasks is a critical skill for team leaders in hospitality and hotels, especially in challenging economic times. As hotels have a lower number of full time staff, the ability to delegate and share responsibilities can be viewed in a very positive way. Authentic delegation leads to a team owning its success and increasing its capacity for achievement. Laundry teams may very well have a better way of scheduling their area and stewards may have specific recommendations on the best ways to unload trays of banquet dishes.
This is part of the Hospitality Supervisor Training series.
