Hotels spend a great deal of money on energy expenditures. According to the federal government’s Energy Star program, U.S. hotels spend an average of $2,196 per available room each year on energy, which makes it the fastest growing operating cost in the industry. And, this does not even take into account the amount of carbon dioxide the industry is emitting....
