A Great time to be a borrower and a seller - a 2012 Video

Jones Lang LaSalle surveyed 186 borrowers, and they noted that lenders need to provide certainty of execution as the number one factor they consider in the loan origination process. Flexibility of loan terms ranks second and lowest available rate ranks third. Tom Melody believes these deliverables will remain key the factors impacting debt financing in 2012. He also sees life companies putting out as much as 10 to 20 percent more capital in 2012 and CMBS issuance up 50 to 100 percent over last year.

What to make of Google Make no mistake, the Google/ITA merger is a big deal for the travel industry.  But it’s possible that hotels are asking the wrong question about the impact it will have.  The question brings to mind an excellent point that was made during the presentation of the Hotel Distribution Study in Nashville this summer.  To paraphrase the panelist’s view: “All of these distribution providers add some value to our business.  But as they try to monetize their products, distribution costs are becoming prohibitive.  Our challenge is to understand how much their services are worth”.

John Hogan is one of the rare hospitality experts who can offer a special blend of practical and theoretical knowledge of the highest quality. He possesses a tremendous breadth and depth of experience and cares about the state of the industry as a true leader. John is very personable because he cares about the people he knows. Dr. Gabor FORGACS, Assistant Professor, Ryerson University, Toronto Canada

John worked diligently with me as we formed the first Diversity and Multi-Cultural Committee of the American Hotel and Lodging Association - he gave from with-in, and contributed to the success of this movement immensely. This success served both of our companies and their shareholders/stakeholders well.”
Fred Kleisner - Chief Executive officer, Morgans Hotel Group (now retired)

Dr. Hogan's passion for the hospitality industry is evident in everything he does. From his exceptional articles and books, to his zeal for making industry connections, it is obvious that "service" is not what he does...it's who he is.”

While John possesses many talents and capabilities, it is his passion for hospitality that resonates with everyone with whom he comes into contact.” 2011   Great Results, Personable, High Integrity  \ Brenda Raley,  Sr. Director at Choice Hotels International hired John in 2008, and hired John more than once

John was our "go to" expert for many industry training videos produced by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute. I interviewed him in the preparation of my research for a hospitality training topic, and relied on him to review the script and preview cut video with the top level of meticulous expertise only he could provide.

He always came through with terrific insights and great enthusiasm. He was our MVP consultant. We knew our projects were bulletproof if they had the John Hogan touch and seal of approval.”                 2011
